Al - Sponsored by Nikon

Al - Sponsored by Nikon by ZingShots.
For this shoot we added a 3rd flash on the left with a blue gel shooting through powerade bottle filled with water. We then handed him Mike's Nikon and the biggest lense we had. We had to slip a piece of paper between the hotshoe and the flash on the camera so it could be in slave mode.

Strobist: Single SB800, snooted camera left

1 Vivitar 285 45 degrees back right

1 Vivitar 285 on the left with a blue gel shooting through powerade bottle filled with water.

1 SB800 on camera at 1/128th power

A reflector to camera right, to bring a tad bit of light to that side of Al's face, plus the umbrella used to flag off the rim light on the right from flaring into the lens.

Man I look Good :-)

I could've held the "Gun" slightly higher towards the shoulder to get it more into the light, but I would say that it looks wonderful. The Blue Gel actually looks stunning, mating with the colour of my shirt.

Ultra Cool Man.

This is a GREAT shot. Wow it came out well. This was a fun one to construct, and it really showed the ingenuity that the group has.

Don't forget the reflector to camera right, to bring a tad bit of light to that side of Al's face, plus the umbrella used to flag off the rim light on the right from flaring into the lens.

a slightly wider frame and a gridspot on the camera would have made it perfect, not that it isnt great already
