Butterfly Chain
In this one I learnt that the fabric must be straight in the hoop before I stitch!! Down left hand side: pearl no 5 tied with 3 stands of floss and one of metallic sulky, pearl no 5 tied with Maderia metallic no 10, squares are pearl no 5 tied with coton a broder and two strands of metallic sulky (a pain to do but a nice effect), the final square was stitched first and the gold Madeira was not successful in real life, mauve block is coton a broder tied with a mix of machine embroidery metallics. Down the RHS: pearl no 5 tied with ribbon floss, Madeira metallic no 10 and tied with same, zig-zag row below squares is three strands of floss tied with coton a broder. This is inspired by SharonB of Pin Tangle and Elizabeth of Quieter Moments. The butterflies are inspired by Annie of Annies Crazy World.
