      nice effect, yes like a miniature model...why? Foreground and background strip in focus, everything else blurred?

      Thanks for the explanation, never heard of this type of photography and just read up on it. Interesting how a little blur can affect your perception.

      Dotaking/Timothy - thanks for the compliments.

      Ben - the answer to "why?" is because I thought it was a good composition for trying out the tilt shift effect. Basically blur above and below a distinct band and then really increase the colour saturation which is what gives it the punchy model appearance.
