Is this bike under control?

Sadly this has been going on for years:

This is a collection of photos related to the use of bicycles, skateboards, razors and other related Human Powered Vehicles (HPVs) at and around SJSU. It also shows folks who may be literally impacted by them.

As you look at these photos ask yourself, how many of the bicyclists shown here are wearing helmets? Some are, most are not!

Are all these bikes safe to ride in traffic or among crowds of pedestrians?

Are they being ridden safely? Most folks ride on the streets and sidewalks to get to campus. Do most of these folks ride in urban downtown San Jose safely? Are they even taught how to?

Last, ask why do we need to be able to ride the last couple of hundred feet to our classrooms anyway, isn't just getting to campus enough?

I believe the current situation creates a dangerous condition of public property as defined by California Codes Government Code Section 835-835.4.
