Boston's Subway: Red Line Trashed

Trash like this and worse is normal on Boston's T. Why are Boston commuters such pigs? Years ago when I used to commute to the city every day I actually witnessed a homeless man taking a crap in the end of a Red Line car.

the homeless guy tacking a dump is classic.. my husband used to ride the red line daily. He often had harrowing tails of his daily commute.

He happily no longer takes the T to work. I'll be sure to avoid showing him this shot, lest he have a post traumatic stress induced flash back ;)
