Falling approximately halfway between the Winter Solstice and the Spring Equinox, the ancient festival of Imbolc is also known as the Snowdrop Festival.

We normally go to Hodsock Priory each year on 6th February to see the snowdrops but it has become so commercialised that we have had to stop going. Luckily, my friend Albert has snowdrops in his garden so I will be able to get my 'fix' this year. Lovely photograph.
