Summer at the Lakes II

I've shot this tree before but in a different season and different light (!)

In summer it gives off the most glorious infrared light and the people sat underneath, relaxing on a hot June day have no idea! I'm lovin this shot! Plus it has a special ingredient that I don't normally get ... ... ... people!!

When I saw this on my home page my first thought was "IR Candy floss!!" But now I see it's something far larger and far more interesting to photograph! Great shot. "Autumn Slice" is also a great shotbut I prefer this for the unusual colours.

This shot is just amazing. So unusual making the middle iof summer more akin to the middle of winter, and that pink is just wonderful. Like Steffan says, candy floss springs immediately to mind.

Cheers Guys... the 'Hi' thing was an experiment - I seem to get quite a lot of fews pretty early on but not many comments until friends like yourselves stop by... so I was trying to encourage a few to speak up but to no avail!!!!

Superb Steve, terrific light, the IR is really coming into it's own here, the candy floss tree is an amazing focal point. Can't help wondering what it would look like in mono. Wonderful movement. I could see this adorning walls (but not mine, it's pink!)

Sorry David, I don't keep High Res versions of these shots.. The infrared ones are noisy as hell and won't enlarge at all nicely.

@scudmonkey, I usually use ISO 200, keeps me at about 30secs, so i don't have to get the remote out.
