Today was really cloudy, so I almost didn't go out (again). The same Cooper's Hawk from yesterday was just hanging out, keeping the birds away. I finally gave up with the idea of him leaving and walked over to it and asked him to leave. He flew to the top of one of the cherry trees, which I found out later was just out of snowball range.
I gave up and went in for an hour to wait for him to leave. Of course, he was never in a good photo spot. I came out later and, of course, he came back for a while.
The nice thing about the cloudy day was that the Cardinals weren't getting blown out by the bright light and reflection off the snow. Crank up the ISO and hold your breath!
The website (link below) is FINALLY done (at least with the first total pass). 1000+ photos of 200+ species.
