Steve Brandon's first day pushing shopping carts in snow.

I watched some of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade on CBS, and it looked like New York City was having a very balmy day for late November. Not so much here in Ottawa, where I had to push shopping carts on what was a normal working Thursday in Canada.

What a white hell that was. It felt like I was pushing a wheelbarrow being ridden by an elephant through wet sand.

On dry pavement, I like to push seven carts at a time, but, through snow, I could barely push five.
