I like this a lot better HERE
Today was a semi-lazy day. I got a call this morning about doing a brochure for Montgomery's new river boat. So I headed over there to get some ideas and some photos of some details that I could maybe use in the layout. They are still painting it and restoring it though, so I didn't get any real keepers yet.
While I was there I got an idea for this photo and took a macro of the rope. When I got home I tried to shoot myself to composite, but realized that almost all of my lighting equipment was elsewhere and that all I had was my new Vivitar 285hv. Since my remotes were at the office, I had to mount the strobe on the hot shoe and bounce it old school off of the wall. But since the photography room was messed up, I had to shoot in another space and in that space I could only bounce off of the left wall which was contrary to the lighting of the rope. So I improvised and flipped myself... which irks me a little, but oh well.
By the way, Clarissa is pretty much back to her old self. She has a friend over tonight and they are giggling and laughing. So other than having to wear a brace and a sling, she's cool.
