I'm currently in the Canadian Rockies shooting (with Lake Moraine near the top of my list) and let's just say the weather has been less than pleasant. I've literally spent all day, every day, for the past 3 days driving and scouting locations in pursuit of good light, ANY good light! None was to be had. (Well in full disclosure, I'm "riding"...Canadian local Simon Barker has been my tour guide to the best places this area has to offer...and there are many. Super guy to hang out with.)
Finally this morning, success -- and it was EPIC!
The prior morning at Lake Moraine was nice, but this morning brought the clouds and flat glassy water. There's nothing better than taking in sunrise in such an amazing location. If you've never been to Banff National Park, your bucket list is missing something.
So to the shot...it's a 15 image pano, 5 images across, 3 rows. This is smaller than my typical pano (most are 12-15 images across with 3-4 rows) but in this case of the alpine glow across the top of the "valley of the ten peaks" I had to move very quickly to get to the bottom row to ensure everything would look right and stitch together. And it did.
The end result is a 216MP image -- I'm thinking I'll print this one BIG :)
