In the yard at 12th and 31st, with a chair we actually found in the yard. Myself and my partner, the novelist Geoff Herbach. We leave in two weeks for Mankato—but the Big Yellow House on the corner will remain in the family.

The tennis courts on the northwest side of the park met their match and lost today under the direction of Minneapolis Parks and Recreation. The courts were truly in terrible condition for playing tennis, and the fence around it was a safety hazard (though many in the neighborhood used the courts to exercise dogs off leash, or to teach kids to ride bikes). According to District 3 Commissioner Scott Vreeland it was cheaper to remove the courts than to repair them. Neighbors had strong feelings about this, but the unsafe fence meant the courts were lost.
