Didn't bother finishing this one - hence the hair the way it is, and the neck being flat, and pretty much everything from the cheekbones down being off.
I find these amusing, because they are so full of flaws that they don't look like the image I used as a reference - but by using images of non-known people, any errors just create another unknown person - so you can get away with pretty big failures.

I'm starting to feel better about my drawing skills coming back.
That said, the image on the right has all sorts of mistakes. Most notably her left hand and her left eye - hence not bothering to finish it.
The one on the left has the usual issues of lack of total range.
But I'm generally pleased with these. I always say that if someone is pleased with their work, it probably sucks and they just don't see it. :)

On the left, the front cover. Easier to draw on as it is a hard surface.
On the right, testing out pens.
I swear a lot.
I like it.

I had planned on using the page on the left, but this one ran over due to poor pre-planning. Oh well.
But I like it.
The smaller the image is, the weirder the eyes look on this one.
The shoulder/back is a bit distorted due to the split of the page and how that scanned (also noticeable on the lower left how it has a shadow there).
The arm/shoulder could use a better tonal range to blend the shadow as well.

The one on the left has odd eyes that I don't see on the page, but do in the thumbnail here.
The one on the right's jaw is slightly too wide at the tip, so it looks overly manly, leading to a look of two trannies (the overshadowing also leads to this).
The hair is flatter than I'd like, but I also don't really like spending the time on a sketch to get hair right, as that takes forever (or at least the way I'm used to).
Otherwise though, quite like both of these.
Definitely feel like I am making progress.
