Fin Whale Duo

Working with a whale biologist to take ID shots of Fin Whales. Close encounters with these rather large cetaceans. They are like freight trains when they are moving fast.

Orca Watch

This Bull was watching us. I wish the nose and eye patches were better focused but lucky I got anything cause the moment slips by so fast.

Humpback Dorsal

I will usually take shot fluke shots and pass them onto researchers, but this whale would arch its back and then sink down, not showing me any tail. Bummer. I had nice light on this angle near the kelp beds. Off Cape Edensaw, Haida Gwaii.
