These must have been nice houses not so long ago,
and they've still got nice windows, and beautiful chimnies -
but they've spoiled them with these naff awful eyesore colours

Difficult to believe. Do all the inhabitants dream of little men in green tights dancing and playing flutes on their pavement?

I have just returned from Whistable's Oyster festival - the best I can describe this small coastal town is grim and smelly. The Oyster company has left horrible, rusty buildings in the middle of the harbour, bin bags and litter are scattered everywhere you walk, the beach is an eyesore. It's hard to believe those colourful cottages were anywhere near this sad, neglected dwelling.

I'm sure the beach can't be anything like as much of an eyesore
as these ghastly house in their puke colours.
The owners must have really naff taste,
and I find it very depressing.
Give me sunshine on old brickwork.

I like the town and I think the houses are pretty and agree that the 'beach' is a let down, it's more of an estuary of the Thames really.
