I don't do anything having to do with home
renovation but thanks.
Im not sure what Im doing wrong b/c this
bathroom is really hard to photograph. see
how everything looks green? It doesn't look
like that in person.
I need to figure out what to put on the
walls. Suggestions? This bathroom is on our
first floor so we'll very rarely use the
bathtub so moisture isn't really an issue.

I was thinking a really bold wall paper
.There are some great paper deisngers, it
wouldn't take too much and it will have lots
of impact to see it from elsewhere when the
door is open. An the black and white photos.

Thanks chris - I think wallpaper would look
pretty cool in here but Im not willing to
commit to anything that bold for the long
haul. Not to mention that cutting around all
the things in the wall seems way beyond my
skill level.
I like that its pretty serene in here, I
just think it needs a few accents to add some
interest.

it's probably green because you have
fluorescent light sources in the bathroom.
our eyes can adjust to fluorescent light
(which has a lot of green spectrum in it) but
the camera can't.
you can try using more flash (which is
daylight balanced) or you can just adjust the
colors in an image editing software. magenta
cancels out green.

Nope, no flourescent lights in here. And
when I try to correct the green cast in
photoshop, it all looks too blue. So either
way, the photos don't show true. Im guessing
it has something to do with my lens which is
pretty slow (using a wide angle)

Wow. That is stunning, as is the rest of the
place. You must be so proud and fulfilled!
Nice work!
BTW, I messed with your photo and posted ithere. I hope you don't mind! Not sure if that's
even what it looks like "for real"
but I had to try to find out! ;] It's
absolutely lovely, with or without the
greenish cast!

Looks great, we've been going back and forth
on material list - this is the bathroom I was
making reference to. So, the wall tiles
and floor are both marble? Are the wall
tiles subway tiles made out of marble. I
can't beleive the floor is marble, did it
come on a net?

Yes - all of the tiles are marble. The floor
is in a hex shape and it came in a net. The
floor tiles are pretty common - Ive seen them
a lot. The wall tiles were a bit harder to
find but any specialty marble tile company
can make them.

We are currently renovating our 1940's
bungalow. I have ordered the same gorgeous
sink that you have and but have not yet
decided with the toilet tank. I noticed that
you did not use the same style toilet as the
sink, am I right that the sink is from the
Lutezia line from Porcher. any particular
reason why the toilet is different??

Hi MaoBlue - Yes, its a Porcher Lutezia. No
real reason we used a different toilet. I
didn't feel the need to use the same brand
since I was using white on everything anyway.
I used Kohler Memoirs toilet and its a
great one so Im glad I went with this one.
(We have TOTO toilets elsewhere and I HATE
THEM!)

Hi, just a thought re colour correction but
check your camera settings. If auto colour
correction setting is 'on' then it sometimes
misrepresents it. You may need to select the
'flash' setting if using flash or 'tungten'
which is depicted by a bulb symbol. Hope this
makes sense and hope it works. Ignore this if
you have already figured out the problem. ; )

Thanks flutter. I took the photos a while
back so I don't remember what settings I had
it on at the time. I probably didn't play
with the white balance b/c I was quickly
snapping shots and didn't see the green cast
until later so good suggestion if it happens
again.
