Mom, Dad, she said yes!!

Mom, Dad, she said yes!!

You're damn right I did. I couldn't be happier. This was Nate just moments after he proposed and was calling his parents.

I feel so blessed!! I love this man so much and I can't believe I get to spend the rest of my life with him. I wouldn't want it any other way.

He's been the best boyfriend a girl could ask for and now I get to call him my fiancee, and later this year...my husband!!! AHHHHHH!H!!!!!!!

David and Goliath

David and Goliath

I was fortunate enough to get a heavy shower from that waterfall while on the bow of the boat. I wish there were pics of that....

A traffic jam in New Zealand

A traffic jam in New Zealand

In a country with 400million sheep, this is more common than you'd think. Yes, this is one of the main highways on the South Island between Queenstown and Milford Sound.

Second 5k! Racing for the Cure

Second 5k! Racing for the Cure

I finished my second 5k, and again it was a really good experience. I raced for my aunt Lori, a cancer survivor. Thinking of her made it a little easier to get better time. :D Under 30 minutes on this race! Ray and Tammee ran this one too and that made it even more fun.

I'm hoping I can reach the double digits in running mileage by December. If I do that...I might, just might, try out a half marathon. :D

All of this new found love for running might be part of the reason I'm never on here anymore!

First 5k Race!!!!

First 5k Race!!!!

Soooo, tonight I ran in my first race. I am soooo freaking stoked!! I’ve made a regular habit of lifting, cycling, swimming and running…but I still wasn’t confident with running on asphalt or concrete for distances more than 1 mile speed training thanks to my knee and being incredibly afraid of ever damaging it again.

EVEN if you asked me at my fittest as a gymnast if I thought I would ever run a race…I would have said “HELLS NO.” Needless to say I’m pretty stoked right now because I got to get out there with cool people (Jeff-new friend, Ray-old friend, that’s me on the right), have a blast, and accomplish something that I not only never thought I would do…but something my doctors told me I would never do…CAN’T is not going to be a part of my vocabulary anymore.
