Its been very slow to come about here in the NorthEast. I don't care much for the season, but days like this certainly make me miss it.

D300 Tonkina 12-24 at 22mm 1 Raw file processed in LR and PS. The trick was waiting for the right moment with the clouds to get a soft light cast over the hotel. This is not an HDR merge from several exposures or the same file re-processed several times. To me this almost looks 3-D. I can't stop starring at it.

Been logging a lot of days ice climbing, and not many taking images or sitting in front of the computer. This was some experimenting that I was doing back in the fall.

The effect is done mostly during the capture and only the levels, and contrasts are adjusted in photoshop. The effect is with a long slow shutter and slight movements of the camera.

To those that say all the ice is climbed out in NY. Matt Horner and Jonas Morelli tackle Partition high up on Washbowl cliff in the Adirondacks on 12-14-2008. One of the more impressive routes to date!
