Sir Bruce Forsyth

Pete decided to create a unique stamp portrait in honour of the entertainer's 80th birthday on February 22nd 2008. Not only is Bruce Forsyth a very successful entertainer whose career has spanned nearly seventy years he is much admired and an excellent role model for those fighting against the modern trend of ageism. He is fit and active and still working in a profession he loves and will continue to do so for as long as his public wants him. Pete was honoured to be able to present the portrait to Bruce in person at the Dorchester Hotel in London, on the day he celebrated his birthday. Bruce was delighted with the portrait and was amused to find his catch phrase 'to see you nice' incorporated into the design (not shown in this picture).

91cm x 91cm (36" x 36") on canvas. Created from approximately 3000 used postage stamps.

Original in a private collection
