Just something kinda bland about this picture, maybe its because its a genre that is overused? THe pepia is what I think tips this into the bland category. Sorry, just not exactly creative.

It's probably not far away of the perfect portrait, it's difficult to find things to criticize. Like others, I love compo, lighting, tones (I agree sepia is best choice). The most important is that it creates a story.

I think going with B&W was a good choice here as it made what otherwise would have probably been a dull shot into something more captivating.
