Talk about the passion...

Talk about the passion...

Spent the majority of today at the hospital with my grandmother. She is doing much better, but we likely won't know much until Monday. They're still running lots of tests on her, and she was going in for an MRI after we left tonight. I really appreciate all the well-wishes. I have been inundated with emails, texts, and comments since yesterday...y'all really are amazing, and I'm lucky to have you all in my life.

After we left the hospital, the sun was going down and the roads were shiny with the day's rain. Michael swung me through downtown and tagged along as I traversed the already-busy streets of my little town and took pictures. I think, having always lived in Athens, I don't tend to see the unique beauty of it...perhaps I'm a bit jaded. It's just what I've always known. I've decided I'm going to take this year to explore this place I've always called home...and try to see it through new eyes. It'll push me out of my comfort zone as a photographer, and will give me an excuse to start shooting again...both of which I need. Desperately.

This is the famous 40 Watt Club. I was going to write a discription for y'all, but I know too much about it, and tend to get super wordy...so I'll post a link instead.
