How's it different than other keyboards? (Although, I wonder if a keyboard will be as much of an anachronism for our kids as punch cards and line printers are for us...)

The keys are much bigger which makes it easier for her to press one at a time with her little hands. It has gotten her to be far more engaged with the keyboard than the normal Mac one.
