Oh Christmas tree.
I don't want to take it down. Maybe I can just turn it into a New Year tree instead?

Merry Christmas Everyone.
If you’re really listening, if you’re awake to the poignant beauty of the world, your heart breaks regularly. In fact, your heart is made to break. Its purpose is to burst open again and again so that it can hold ever-more wonders. - Andrew Harvey

Christmas Eve morning in downtown.
Hot tea to hold my cold at bay.
I went downtown this morning. Not because I had some last minute shopping to do. But because I hadn't had a chance to see the Christmas lights downtown yet, the decorations, the windows, the Santa houses with miserable kids lined up around the block.
I got down there around 10 AM and left around 2 PM. Before all the last minute crazy shopping began. Mostly it was pleasant, and the weather was lovely. Blue skies with a chill.

Ground Control to Major Tom.
SFO to SEA.
First time flying Virgin America. I didn't even fly down to San Francisco on them (flew Alaska Airlines instead since it was cheaper). But the return flight home was only $40. Of course my flight got WAY delayed. But it wasn't a Virgin issue. Due to some major wind only about 50% of all flights in and out of SFO actually landed/tookoff on December 10th.
So my 8:50 PM flight ended up actually pushed back from the gate around 1:30 AM which means although I was planning on getting home around 11 PM, I actually got home at 4 AM. Thank goodness for Twitter, right? Right.

Look how lovely it was in San Francisco.
At Grant and California.
I stayed at the Hotel Triton December 7th thru December 10th and walked to the building across the street from the Bank of America tower every day. I never needed my umbrella. It was cold, around 40 degrees, but never windy or foggy or raining. And after coming from the recent daily highs of freezing every day here, it actually felt warm down there.
i don't want to jinx it or anything, but it's always been blue skies when I've visited SF. I know. Crazy.
