The Lone Oak, infrared
A solitary mature Oak in a field near RHS Hyde Hall in S E Essex. I've been visiting this tree for three years now through different seasons and weather conditions. The open hillside is particually photogenic and looks great in infrared.
This is how the photo came out from the Nikon, just resized to 800x600 for flickr. Just a shame there's some jpeg noise, but it is old technology (and you could write a book waiting for the camera to save a tif file). Nikon CoolPix 950 with with WC-E63 wide angle lens and Harrison & Harrison 98B infrared filter. CommentsSpookygonk
