@ triborough I surely could, but shipping it would be a major headache. I actually decided to hold onto this one, rather than send it to the recyclers. The fact that it plays both PAL and NTSC format tapes is a unique feature.

@ evilbyte This particular model didn’t, but the other U-Matic machine I have in the basement had it as an option. Of course, that one also has an analog dial timer and a recording feature.

@ ebensorkin That’s one of the reasons I’m hanging on to these babies ... all that tape from high school and college. Someday, I will transfer it to the computer for all the world to see ... community access television programs, cheap music videos for friend’s awful bands, the works.

Amazingly enough, 3/4" tape had a long life cycle. Many high end video facilities still have a few decks. The format lasted about 35 years, well into the digital age. A multi standard deck was very rare.
