@ naz There are dozens of little pink survey marks all along the alley behind our office. I just kept following and shooting until I came along this scene. You can just make out a spattering of pink in the lower right corner as well.

@ mat Gah. What goes on in that head of yours?

@ paul Or a desktop. Stay tuned for that.

@ synecdoche That’s all you need to say. Thanks.

@ plusoumoins It is rather sad looking, isn’t it? Homeless furniture.

@ artelisa I had a very lengthy descriptive caption for this image and then decided that simpler was better... just like the image itself.

@ rockies I think there’s a reason for that... probably because of too much skin sticking painfully to faux-leather grained vinyl. Ouch!

@ singingpixel & makasu Thank you.

but really, there is much less casual nudity now than there was in the '70s.

@ rockies Especially casual nudity on vinyl kitchen chairs.

@ linanneblack It might have been placed there for a reason, rather than just left to its own devices. It did seem to be rather deliberately positioned in that corner.

@ prettyscary “... seven out of three kinds of lovely ...” I love that description. I may have to start using that as an email signature. Thanks for that. Really.

@ claire Maybe I should go back and rescue it from the elements. It would actually fit in quite nicely at our office as a guest chair. Hmmm...

It makes me think about all the waste there is out there, its not an ugly chair at all. Its sad. I see office chairs outside my workplace on the street all the time too. We have so much its a shame we can't find better ways to use what we have or give to those who don't. But I'm also torn because for once I would like to look at a pretty picture and not think.
help.

Thinking is part of the reaction to and analysis of an image. Don’t sweat it too much, as I believe most of us visual thinkers are in the same boat. I’m constantly worrying about how much good stuff gets tossed out. Drives me batty. And there’s only so much I can cart back home before the “better half” notices. Sadly, there is no help.
