I pulled my 16 year old Kodak DC260 camera out of the desk drawer this afternoon. I remember purchasing two of these back in 1997 — one for me, one for EyeWire — for $1,200 apiece. They were slow and serial and magnificently clunky, but this one still works like a champ.

Dealership emblem salvaged from my first vehicle. The 1967 Plymouth Belvedere was my mom’s daily driver until 1981, when I inherited it in high school. The slant six threw a rod in 1986 and I ended up storing the car outside for at least another decade. I finally realized that I would never get around to repairing (let alone restoring) this creaky, old Mopar.
