If you are into cars, you'll know somthing special right away. Let it be a line of the body, or just a bit of exhaust note.
A black Ferrari 550 Maranello parked across the street from my hotel.
Yesterday, Tuesday, 9/20, was my first full day in Pacific Northwest. What an action packed, always on the go, and caffeine gushing day it was. My day started with Zoka Coffee, finished at Stumptown Coffee, with many great shops and amazing people in between.
The most cherished part was meeting Phuong and Billy in person, both whom I befriended online over the time. Phuong is so cool, and cute, I just love the way she laughs. I even told her that her laugh reminded me, Meg Ryan, in the movie “French Kiss”. If you saw the movie, you will know what I am talking about. Yes, it is a girly movie, but you will like the sceneries in the film, and that French actress.
Billy is one of the people who taught me how to pour latte art. It was fantastic to finally meet my sensi(sp?). I saw a latte he made for his customer, it was visually tasty, and the foam was expertly steamed. Kevin, the owner of Albina Press is also one cool guy. Make sure that you visit them while in Portland.
The only disappointment was not able to meet Chris Tacy. I value what he writes about coffee on his “God Shot” blog. His insightful article on espresso extraction helped me to consistently pulling good shot. I sure love to meet him over a nice cup of coffee.
I got back to my hotel after 14 hours chasing the great PNW espresso, I was hungry and tired. I fell to sleep while relishing the encounter with everyone I met, and Phuong’s adorable laughs in the background…
