I love how fog or snow can completely transform a location that has become mundane into something magical. This was the magical foggy view that greeted me upon stepping outside my office tonight.

Original proof of concept prototype on the left with everything breadboarded. Was used as the test bench for the software design and implementation.

Updated model on the right with mostly everything soldered together (I2C external communication wires are still required, plus XBee adapter wiring). Next up is to tear apart the first prototype and rebuild it to match, then build two additional ones... [groan]

I've always heard that you will get hassled if photographing inside Grand Central Terminal with pro gear (without a permit). Multiple uniformed gentlemen in and around the golf card never said boo to me as I shot 40+ long exposure frames in various places here.

Have the enforcement policies been changed?
