Any1 see a dog face?? I can see 2 eyes and one nose!!

Camera: Nikon D200
Lens: Nikkor 18-35 mm f/3.5 - 4.5D ED-IF
7 Stop HDR

Hong Kong after a storm front had cleared off towards the West. To me what is really interesting about this image was that there were about 5 other photographers at this location with me and not ONE of them was taking shots of this. They had all come up there to shoot sunset and were oblivious to, what was for me, amazing lighting conditions at the time and were instead yelling at each other in Cantonese. One of them had a nice medium format Hasselblad setup and didn't roll off a single frame. To me the MOST important thing about photography is observing the world around you otherwise you miss opportunities when they arise. In the blink of an eye this light had dissipated never to return.

Its the same thing in art class VJ. Just because someone's got the best brushes, doesn't mean they can produce something better than the person sitting beside them. You've either got... or have developed.. the eye, or you haven't. Obviously the crowd you referred to need to see an optometrist, because this image is quite simply, awesome.

i agree with the others. i find it hard to believe this only has 1000 views. one of the most dramatic images i have seen. To be honest, it doesnt really look like an HDR. Just like a really well exposed photo. Curious, what software did you process with? Absolutely beautiful.

Brent - I used Nikon capture to convert the RAW files to 16Bit TIFFs which were then imported into Dynamic Photo HDR and final adjustments made in Photoshop and saved as a PSD.
