Large On Black

I took this from the window of the airplane using my Canon G10. The weather was not the best nor was the light. The small sensor of the G10 caused significant noise in the darker areas of the image and when viewed in color the image was drab.

For me the B&W approach gave this view a timeless look, one where it could have come from a newspaper in the 50's. I liked the effect with the grain and noise, and it does look much better viewed large...:-))

Hi, I'm an admin for a group called EVERYTHING SCENERY, and we'd love to have this added to the group!

A photo like this makes me soooooooooooo glad I live in the country!!!!! It is awesome to visit the city, it's great for fun, so many things to do, but then I want to come home where it's quiet and I can hear the birds and frogs and smell the trees and flowers and sometimes nothing at all!!!! This is an awesome capture in black and white and I think color wouldn't do it justice anyway, b/w seems to define the buildings better and not make it quite as chaotic looking as it really is!! Fantastic job!!

It is wonderful viewed large Ken. No to much grain at all. I agree the black and white really works well here. Great composition also for taking this from the plane and really sharp. Nice, nice capture.
