where's the next shot - the one where they're wrestling in the fountain? =]
Special 89 months ago | reply
Oh you mean the one where he jackknife powerbombed her into the fountain? Or the one where she kicked him in the man jewels and he writhed in pain, stumbled backwards and fell in? Sadly... I did not get any such shots this time.
Had we stopped by the fountain on our way out of the festival... i'm sure it would have been a different story. Neither wanted themselves or the other to have to walk around soaking wet I guess.
Seriously though.. we used to be huge wrestling fans. There's not a move any of us can't do.

lol - yes, both of those options work for me. =] although, the nutcracker seems more than a bit unfair given the photo's apparent scuffle-starter. although in my fantasy, they'd both have to get wet, so if we went for your second option, after stumbling back, his arms would flail about searching for balance, he'd grab her hair, and they'd both get dunked.
and...
it would have all been your fault.
brava!
then again...
maybe he was asking for it.

Wow, you kids play rough.

Those moves would also finish nicely if one of them got thrown onto a desk which split nicely down the middle...

Let's not forget the folding steel chair either. Must always carry one of those around. You never know when you might need to attack someone with it. heh.
There's a move that the Ultimo Dragon used to do (maybe still does) and we never caught the name of it so we just called it 'the shit' then once during a pay per view I heard the announcer say "oh my god.. he's put him in the shit" I kid you not. From then on we let ourselves believe that was it's proper name but we know it isn't.
First time I saw that move my cousin ran from me with terror in her eyes. She knew I was about to put her in it. Which I did of course, I then proceeded to put GG in it and she squirmed and I totally dropped her and she banged her knees up. It's where you're on the ground and you have your foe spread out in a backbend above you. I LOVE that move.

So I looked up Ultimo Dragon and apparently his signature move was called 'The Dragon Sleeper'. Oddly enough, I couldn't find a good picture of him doing it, but I did find this anime drawing...
Eh, I've gotta get back to work.
Special 89 months ago | reply
Nah it's not the Dragon Sleeper. I think it was another wrestler's move so it's not usually attributed to Ultimo Dragon, even though he used it a lot.
That's okay. I'll just take a photograph of Goth Girl being put in the shit. Then you'll see which wrestling move I mean.
Shhh, don't tell her or she'll hide.
Afroswede 89 months ago | reply
Okay, so you can't blame me for trying. Maybe the move is the Romero Special (aka "Surfboard")?
Special 89 months ago | reply
Oh my God! That's it afroswede. Best wrestling move EVER.
Stupid ass name. We will continue to call it "the Shit". heh.
Thanks for looking it up. I'll let the guys know it has an actual name. Seriously.. we always wondered what it was called. The only wrestling move we never knew the proper name to.
I could have sworn it was Ultimo Dragon I saw use the move, and maybe it was.. but it was also likely that it was justin Liger I saw using it. I believe he was on WCW briefly.

Hehe, Wikipedia's got a list of pro wrestling holds. Gotta love info provided by folks with too much time on their hands. ;)
Still, feel free to get a picture of GG in the hold. Can't take it back now that you've offered.

Ultimo Dragon did used to do that move a lot. I remember!
My brother and I went to the wrestlemania fest dealie when it was out here in like '98 or '99. Anyway, we were in line to get Bob Backlund's autograph. When we were pretty far back in line I saw him pretend to put a little boy in the cross faced chicken wing for a photo. So of course we got up there and I asked him to put my brother in it for a photo. My brother is about 6 feet so Backlund was like, "alright! I can really cinch it in this time!" So I have a photo around here somewhere of it and it is hilarious! The look of pain on my brothers face is so funny.

I loved Kerry Von Erich when I was really youngand I hope he is at peace.
Married or not, I would have done Kerry in less than a heartbeat, and I am sure I am not the only one. His wife was the luckiest woman ever, but I am sure she had a lot to worry about.
