We'd gone to West Hollywood to look at an apt. and everytime we go out, I'm still struck by the fact that there are flowers, even ones like this, EVERYWHERE!!

9-16-2010 LA Photos spider that bit me
found in my hotel room about a week after we'd checked in...I'd been bitten by "something" twice before we found it. Luckily, it didn't even hurt and more luckily, I never SAW it on me!
I believe it was a "trapdoor spider," it looked like a cross between a tarantula and a jumping spider, but with legs outstretched, was about the size of a quarter.
It wasn't aggressive, kind of sluggish, and it's lower body was covered in silver hair.
