July 6th 2008 - Reversed Lens Macro
An attempt at macro photography using a reversed lens in front of the main lens. Since I don't have a coupling ring I had to hand-hold one on front of the other.
Setup: Canon 50mm f/1.8 reversed in front of a Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8 (at 50mm f/3.2) attached to a Canon 400D mounted on a tripod. This gives a magnification of around 1:1 if I have it right.
The subject is a Sigma 70-300mm; had I used that in place of the Tamron my magnification factor would have been much higher, but the hand holding the reversed lens wasn't anywhere near steady enough for that!
