on a side note, if anybody can help me figure out who linked me yesterday from within Flickr, to the point of making 23000 hits/viewed photos on my account, and this on a single day. it seems that the flickr stat system is having its own limits when it comes to finding out who's linking your shots.

I really like the way you process your fog shots. We get a lot of fog in the mountains here in Japan. I've struggled to get a shot that I like. Yours are always an inspiration and something that I learn from.

as for your question, i remember reading something similar at phillipp klinger (or however you spell his name) who had thousands of hits on a new shot within minutes after uploading iirc- maybe the flickr stats system was having the hiccups?

As far as the multi-thousand hits, that has happened to me before too. Once I had a couple of thousand hits on every shot in the stream. After a few days, flickr discovered its mistake and they disappeared.
