The more I look at this photo, the more I like seeing La Grande Vitesse in its context in front of the SOM designed city and county buildings. I used to be all for tearing the things down and replacing them with anything other than big, ugly boxes. But looking at this - the way the sculpture seems to be standing on its tippy-toes and creating a gentle slope between the tall and squat monoliths in the background, I'm not so sure of that anymore...
