Saturday morning the Wheatland Wheelers held their annual Ann Weatherill memorial ride up Mill Creek to Kooskooskie near Walla Walla to drink a toast to Anne's memory. It's good to see that my former teacher, and my moms best friend is remembered well by her community.

From the Wheatland Wheelers website about the ride:

"Ann Weatherill was a local middle school teacher and cyclist who was struck and killed by a motorist while riding with friends on Mother’s Day 2004. In 2005, the Ann Law was passed in Washington State, making it illegal for a motorist to pass with an oncoming cyclist approaching."

This shot is of the group getting ready to make the 10 mile ride back from the top of KoosKooskie back to Walla Walla.
