fuente eterno was an adventure and a
half! about a couple of hours drive
southwest of the mexicali border, driver
alla and i sped across the dry lake bed
with incredible anticipation for this
peaceful, palm-filled oasis. in spite
of the fires that had devastated the
underbrush and some of the camp's
infrastructure, the palms held strong,
and the man-made concrete pools sound.
a marvelous get-away indeed.
these photos focus on the saturday pool-party, the mainstage area in the dawn hours, and alla's and my hike to the nearest waterfall. the camera was too much to carry around while i was dancing! :)*
