alma paradiso was in part an incredible
exercise in 'herding cats' from the
harbor in san pedro to the shores of two
harbors, catalina island. kudos to the
organizers and the self-restraint of the
participants! perhaps the hardest camp
i've ever done due to the
two-bag-per-person limit. tough!
the event was loverly, with great weather, spectacular location, endless yummies from the phat elvis chicken shack, boogie-making music, and awe-inspiring live performances. as usual, the people were beautiful, kind, giving, friendly and funfunfun!
these photos focus on the check-in, boarding of the catalina express, and journey to the island, with a few from the beach of the two harbors campground. i was too distracted to carry my camera and take photos the rest of the event! :)*
