You're going to love this... just love it. by spacesick.
I had a buttload of requests for Willy Wonka from friends and strangers all across the interweb! It's another one of my favorites, EVER, and Gene Wilder is one of my comedy heroes. ^_^ Sorry I couldn't find the American version, but I hope you guys get a kick out of the rare Japanese variant I found on eBay.

Behind the Scenes Extras: All the work for this mother was done YESTERDAY, but I was out all night and couldn't upload it til now. A big thanks to my friend mz. kat for answering all of my Japanese questions, even though we're sure it can't be perfect. So if anyone can help fix it, let me know! Thanks! :D

Don't care how, I want it now!

Awesome work once again, Sir!

One of my favorite all-time films as well. No one can touch Wilder in that role.

The Burton version just feels hollow somehow; the Wilder version just exudes warmth...and vengence.

Wonderful... I've loved this whole series, but this takes the cake!

bravo!

The way that Youtube Link is titled, I thought it was going to be a cover of "I want it now" by the BAND Veruca Salt.

This is awesome, and all of the other covers are fantastic!

However, let me inject two minor notes here:

(1)
よむ映画ことができる is not the correct translation of "I can read movies". It would sound much better to say 映画を読むことができる, I think. The original construction, while it has all the words there, "よむ= to read", "映画=movie", and "ことができる=can do (something)", is not grammatically correct.

(2)
The word 彼 at the end of the bottom sentence is also not appropriate. In the sense you're using it, it sounds more like "boyfriend". I would suggest changing 彼 to 男. 男 means "man", and is better suited to what you want to say.

I'm always available as a Japanese reference if you want to make more of these (and I hope you do)!

Nothing beats a translation of a novelization of a movie of a novel. Or was the movie an adaptation of a translation of the Roald Dahl original? My brain hurts.

I prefer the simpler and more enthusiastic-sounding 「映画が読めるよ」シリーズ, and I also propose using 奴 (to sound kinda gruff and gangster-like) or 方 (to cast Mr. Wonka in a deferential light) in place of 彼.
