Seriously, this shot was a total toss away. The sun was setting, I was losing light fast, I had nothing whatever for my drive to take shots, and it was this, or go home empty handed.

So, here it is... the frustration photography has begun!

A little pre-dunk trepidation.

Looking through the results a couple days later, there actually wasn't all that much to share, but here's two more.

I picked the shot that obscured the sentiment toward Laurier's competition. :)

For some reason I felt compelled to get out to Waterloo Square this morning and see what the first Polar Plunge was all about.

Seemed folks had fun, and there were a *lot* of cameras and video so I imagine it's well documented.

I came away with a few decent pics, and considering I haven't done much this year yet, I'll share. This was among the best. A couple more later.

This pirate guy was by far the most theatrical, and where most people just sorta waded in and waded out, he just cannonballed the pool. You are brave and cool (cold), unknown sir. :)

Welcome the newest member of my extended family, Winter. He recently showed up at my sister-in-law's place all full of the kind of energy that only a pure bred golden retriever can muster. :)
