Hotel San Diego

    The Hotel San Diego, now closed and scheduled to be torn down in 2006, replaced with a 22-story federal courthouse. In the background looms the federal prison, the Metropolitan Correctional Center.

      Has this been torn down yet? I thought I remembered hearing about it on the news, but I haven't looked around this area lately. I love the picture.

      Hi Kim, indeed this was razed in April 2006. The site is now clear and they are starting excavation for the foundation of the courthouse. Thanks for looking!
