Laika Russian Imperial Stout, by Straight to Ale, LLC - h6539
Another fine, craft-brewed Alabama beer, made in Huntsville.
Dan Perry of Straight to Ale says this about their Laika Russian Imperial Stout:
"Our Laika Russian Imperial Stout was one of our first releases in our Right to Brew Series. This series features area brewers who bring their recipes into the brewery and brew it with us. This particular recipe is the brainchild of John Tipton. Tipton has won many awards with this recipe, including third place out of 374 stout entries in the American Homebrewers Association’s National Homebrew Competition in 2009.
"The beer itself is a huge stout, coming in a little higher this year at 11.7 percent ABV. It’s a pitch black with a thick tan head. The aromas are of chocolate and roasted malt along with some dark fruit in the background. Very full bodied with a velvety mouth-feel and some slight alcohol warmth in the finish. Laika is an intense, chewy stout full of roasted goodness."

I have to come up to Dixieland. I live in North Havana, also known as Miami.
