Flickr Resistance Against Microsoft Takeover by sonicwalker.

For the second time the Flickr community is facing a takeover. First Yahoo! took over Flickr and forced upon us Yahoo! IDs and other chages. Now Microsoft made a bid to take over Yahoo!

Of course it wouldn't take long for the first reactions to appear on Flickr. Here are some of them (those with a creative-commons-license).

Oh, I can feel it now. Microsoft turns Flickr into something entirely over-bloated with features no one wants. How about "Snappy," the annoying waving camera who pops up at the first sign of trouble?

I don't like Polls usually, but I wish Y! and especially Flickr here would simply set a poll up to measure the temperature.

Pick one:
- I don't care, as long as they don't use Passport.
- I'd close my account the days and ask for a refund on my Pro Account
- I'd be happy if M$ bought Y! Yippee!
- I'm simply worried but I enjoy the time being

To bad my account was supposed to expire yesterday, I would have waited to see how the wind turns.

Now if Google+Apple woke up to protect Yahoo!, that would be a wise move.
