I stopped by my favorite bagel shop to find that, after a decade in business, the owners had suddenly closed their doors.

Apparently the abruptness of the shutdown had also caught the employees by surprise. This young man had the honor of being the last employee ever hired. I feel bad for the employees who were suddenly out of work, and for the loss to the neighborhood.

It's been at least a month since I have been taking walks and making photos on the university campus. My portrait subjects are starting to see me elsewhere around town! Kat saw me in my favorite coffee shop and said hi. I took advantage of the great window light and made another portrait!
