A Soldier with 1st Battalion, 32nd Infantry Regiment, 10th Mountain Division, fires an M4 rifle during a gun battle with insurgent forces in Barge Matal, Afghanistan, during Operation Mountain Fire, July 12. The tiny mountain village, in Afghanistan's eastern Nuristan province, was overwhelmed by anti-Afghanistan forces until combined elements of the Afghan national security forces and International Security Assistance Forces forced the insurgents to flee.
