today through the eyes of the yesterday...

today through the eyes of the yesterday...

At the City Link when you exit to Marina Square from the City Hall Station you will find this "Water Cycle 2000" mechanical sculpture designed by Jonathan Minns of the British Engineerium Trust. A giant bronze wheel pours water down into a semicircular pond below. The Layout of the wheel was based on Feng Shui principles : the flow of water towards the mall means that abundant wealth will flow into the shopping area.

Was bored and thought i'd play around in photoshop a bit, when i saw the original shot of this one it reminded me of a very old picture of a ferris wheel i once saw in an encyclopedia, so as you can see it inspired me to process this one like one of those old pictures. I tried to make it look as close to the mental picture i had of that old one. Hope you like it! =D

hug me...

hug me...

"No moving parts, no batteries.
No monthly payments and no fees;
Inflation proof, non-taxable,
In fact, it's quite relaxable;
It can't be be stolen, won't pollute,
One size fits all, do not dilute.
It uses little energy,
But yields results enormously,
Relieves your tension and your stress,Pooh and Piglet Hugging
Invigorates your happiness;
Combats depression, makes you beam,
And elevates your self esteem!
Your circulation it corrects
Without unpleasant side effects
It is, I think, the perfect drug:
May I prescribe, my friend,....the hug!
(and of course fully returnable!)"

Kuala Lumpur skyline as seen from the balcony of my place. This is an HDR made from three raw shots. The more i play around with this technique the more i realize that there so much for me to learn. I tried to take an image of what i saw with a single shot but it just wouldn't give me an image that was comparable to what i was seeing right in front of my eyes...and then it struck me....HDR! by using the that technique here i have succeeded in making an image that comes really close to the real thing. I know it's not perfect but i'm atleast improving rite? ;)
Hope you guys like it! =D

For those who are looking for an awesome hdr tutorial, check out the amazing tutorial made by stuckincustoms. i'm sure most of you already know him.
