welcome home, lulu.

we met her on saturday and both fell instantly. she had been brought to the spca as a stray, but from her condition and age, she couldn't have been stray for long. i hope she was loved. she is certainly willing to accept love from us, and we are eager to shower her with it.

her pound name was trinka, but that wouldn't do. it just didn't feel right. so after going around and around, i kept thinking of one of my favourite heroines, lucy, from "a room with a view", in particular the movie version, when maggie smith refers to her as "my dear lucia" because of the ? on her nose. and we couldn't very well name her "the everlasting ?", now could we? so when wes proffered "lulu", i knew we had found the name to suit her ? nose and her doll face.

she truly is our sweet little doll. who knows what adventures we shall have together? ♥

i sewed these on saturday to sell on sunday. it was fun to make different kinds and finally use some of my decorator fabric.

i made felt placemats for bosslady with all different kinds and colours of leaves and acorns embroidered onto them.
