day 760: odin's new, preferred method for injesting vegetables.
odin has been going through a little phase where he's decided that he doesn't want to eat vegetables.
but he loves soup, mostly because he enjoys slurping the soup straight out of the bowl. luckily, kris can whip up a mean brocolli and cheese soup, so he gan slurp away and get a few servings of vegetable goodness. we've discovered the trick also works with asparagus soup. and i'm guessing there's going to be a big batch of cream of spinach soup in our future soon :-)

Kat will only eat green beans straight. She'll eat zucchini/yellow squash if I make it into a prima vera that I made up.

We like dipping sauce too; and I find that it does work well to get her to eat her veggies. With Jenna our dipping sauce has now turned from ranch to mustard & ketchup mixed masterfully to a bright orange, cause as Jenna would put it "Red & Yellow make Orange". But I like the slurping soup idea too..does it work on grown men?

Does he like spaghetti or pasta? You can sneak lots of vegetables in the sauce and just blend them up. Wish my kids would eat soup! But, I've never thought to try the creamy types since I don't personally eat them - I will have to see if they'd be interested.

i slurp my brocolli soup too. Really, I usually put it in a mug.

Ohhh, that's a good idea!! Her highness has been boycotting veggies too...the only thing I can coerce her to eat is corn on the cob and I think that's just cause she gets a kick out seeing me squirm every time I change her diaper later on.
