Pastel Bowls 1

I like vignettes - but which one works better for this subject - the lite one in this picture or the dark one in the other?

I like this one best because the cloth is a lighter color because it doesn't detract from the lighter pastel bowls.

Although I also like vignettes, I think I prefer this shot: the vignette in the other one is a little too heavy for my taste. What I might do in this shot, though, is to darken the lighter areas of that mat thingy at the top right, as the brightness distracts a little bit from the main focus, the bowls.
